The University of Tokyo (UTokyo), founded in 1877, is the oldest national university of
Japan. It was formed when Tokyo Kaisei School and Tokyo Medical School merged and created UTokyo's first four faculties.
UTokyo has three main campuses: Hongo, Komaba and Kashiwa and offers
undergraduate and postgraduate programs through its 10 faculties and 15 graduate schools. It offers programs in the fields of agriculture, arts and sciences, economics, education, engineeirng, law, medicine, humanities, information science and technology,
