University of New England (UNE), founded in 1938, is a public university in
Australia. It was initially a College of University of the Sydney being known as New England University College. It became independent in 1954 and became a pioneer in teaching external students by correspondence, making it Australia's most experienced provider of distance education, now called as online education.
UNE offers
undergraduate and postgraduate programs through its three faculties: Faculty of Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, and Education; Faculty of Medicine and Health; and Faculty of Science, Agriculture, Business, and Law.
UNE has a teaching history that spans back to the 1920's which has earned them a reputation of being one of Australia's top universities. This can be seen with their more than 100 000 graduates who have bcome successful individuals locally and abroad.
