University of Northeastern Philippines  

The University of Northeastern Philippines (UNEP) was founded in 1984 by Atty. Ordas Alfelor Sr. and his wife, Dr. Remedios Rigoroso Alfelor. The university was initially known as Mabini Memorial School and offered complete high school and undergraduate studies in the fields of Education and Liberal Arts. Later on, the school was renamed as Mabini College as it expanded and developed its campus to cater to the growing number of enrollees. In 1974, the institution received its University status and was finally named the University of Northeastern Philippines. 

UNEP currently provides educational programs from pre-school up to graduate studies. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate studies from different academic fields such as Education, Business and Public Administration, Law, Nursing, Liberal Arts, Social Work, Criminology, Engineering, Architecture, Midwifery, etc. Several of these programs have been accredited by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA), proving the university academic excellence.
