General Guidelines
- A student may avail himself of only one (1) scholarship grant regardless of its source.
- A student with an academic grant should carry the number of units prescribed in the curriculum.
- No scholarship grantee may drop any subject without prior permission from the Scholarships Office.
- Transferees may avail themselves of scholarship grants after one (1) semester (for college) or one year (for high school) residency in the University.
- A Scholarship Waiver is required to be duly accomplished by the grantee and his/her parent/guardian.
- Any disciplinary action disqualifies the grantee from his/her scholarship.
- Varsity Sports Scholars and under trainees are exempted from taking Physical Education subjects.
Application Procedure
- Secure and accomplish an Application Form from the University Scholarships and Grants Office.
- Submit the accomplished Application Form together with the documentary requirements:
- For Academic Scholarships: a copy of grades
- For Student Assistants: a copy of grades, barangay clearance, ITR or Tax Exemption Certificate of Parents, water bill, electric bill, birth certificate, a sketch of address
- USGO will set a schedule for the interview
- Qualified applicants will be notified through phone calls or a text message
Qualifications and Documentary Requirements
1. Must be a child of a married OWWA member or sibling of an unmarried OWWA member
2. 21 years old or below
3. Filipino citizen
4. Good health and with good moral character
5. An average grade of at least 80% and belong to the upper 20% of the graduating class
6. Accomplished application form (2 sets)
7. 1x1 ID pictures (2 copies)
8. Proof of relationship to member copy (copy of the birth certificate of the applicant and of the member if related as brother or sister duly certified by the local civil registrar or NSO)
9. Form 137 or Transcript of Records with Principal's certification on Scholastic standing
10. Proof of OWWA membership (an official receipt of OWWA contribution/certification from OWWA membership processing center)
11. Health certificate attesting to the physical fitness of an applicant (Form B)
12. Certificate of Good moral character issued by the School Principal/Guidance Counselor (Form C)
13.Certification that applicant belongs to the upper 20% of graduating class issued by the school principal (2 sets)
14. Statement of the applicant that he/she has not earned units in any post-secondary.undergraduate course (Form E)
15. A sworn statement that he/she has no pending application for resident immigrant status in any country and does not have dual citizenship signed by a parent or legal guardian (Form F)
