Ateneo de Naga University (AdNU) is a private research and academic institution founded in 1940 by the Society of Jesuits in Naga City, Camarines Sur. Since 2014, AdNU offers basic education up to junior high school along with undergraduate and graduate programs. Its aim is to seek “the integral formation of men and women who will contribute to the total development of the family and human society.”
AdNU offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the following departments: the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (10 undergraduate courses), the College of Business and Accountancy (14 undergraduate courses), the College of Computer Studies (4 undergraduate courses), the College of Education (6 undergraduate courses, 4 certificate programs), the College of Science and Engineering (7 undergraduate courses), and the College of Nursing (BS Nursing). AdNU has 12 graduate and 3 postgraduate programs as well.
The co-educational school attained University status in 1998, granted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd). As the student population increased since then, AdNU built more infrastructure to accommodate more college programs and cater to the desired career paths of its students.
