What does Chiang Kai Shek College stand for?


Chiang Kai Shek College is a Chinese-Filipino institution founded in 1939. Named after Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, it is the largest Chinese Filipino School with 3 campuses: the main campus in Manila, the Narra Campus, and the new campus in South Forbes Golf City, Silang Cavite.

CKS College offers programs in the preschool, elementary, secondary, undergraduate and graduate levels. The school specializes in the field of Business Administration which is designed to prepare graduates for a career in various corporations whether in manufacturing, marketing, or services. The Senior High School offers Academic, Arts and Design, Sports, and Technical Vocational Livelihood (TVL) tracks.

Throughout the years, CKS College continues to move forward in its pursuit of excellence. In 2017, the school was chosen as the winner of the Excellence in Educational Transformation Award (EETA) for outstanding innovations in Leadership, Governance, and Management. CSK College is recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Its Grade School and High School programs also have Level II accreditation status from the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU).

  • Three years after Chiang Kai Shek College was founded, the school bore the brunt of the World War II and was heavily damaged but reopened in December 1945.
  • Chiang Kai Shek College’s Chinese curriculum consists of three subjects – Chinese Literature, Chinese Mathematics, and Chinese Culture.
  • The school includes notable alumni like Lucio Tan (a prominent Chinese-Filipino business magnate and owner of the holding company responsible for airline operations which is Philippine Airlines), Henry Sy, Sr. (founder of SM Investments Corporation) and Tony Tan-Caktiong (founder of the largest Philippine fast food chain Jollibee).
