Foundation University (FU) is a private educational institution in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. It was founded in 1949 by statesman and Negros Oriental native Dr. Vicente G. Sinco. The founder built the non-profit and non-sectarian school with a desire to provide an accessible college education for Filipinos.
The university currently offers undergraduate courses under ten academic units: Agriculture; Architecture and Fine Arts; Arts and Sciences; Business and Administration; Computer Studies; Criminology; Education; Industrial Engineering; Hospitality Management; and, Nursing. Additionally, the institution has a College of Law and Jurisprudence, with a Bachelor of Laws program, and a Graduate Studies department, with both graduate and post-graduate degree courses. These programs are available at the Main Campus along Dr. Miciano Road.
