Iloilo Doctors' College (IDC) started in 1972 as School of Nursing and Midwifery, the academic affiliate to the Iloilo Doctors' Hospital established the year before. It became a College in 1976 through the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Securities and Exchange Comission. That same year, the General Nursing program changed into BS Nursing, and as years passed, more courses in the paramedical health fields were offered. In 1987, the College of Medicine (IDCM) became its own institution from IDC and became Iloilo Doctors' College of Medicine, Inc.
Iloilo Doctors' College aspires to be a leading school for tertiary education. It develops students who, through quality education valuing research, can think critically and who have care and concern for both God and community. Most undergraduate programs offered are health and medicine related courses. Also offered are Technical-Vocational courses and the Academic, HE, and ICT strands for Senior High School.
