What does Manila Tytana Colleges stand for?

In 1975, Manila Tytana Colleges (MTC), formerly known as Manila Doctors College, started with a three-year graduate nursing course. It then became a Metrobank Group partner in 1979. This partnership brought forth development not only institutionally but also academically. They have expanded their program from nursing to psychology, zoology, and pulmonary therapy degrees. Manila Doctors was then renamed to its current Manila Tytana Colleges in honor of the mother of Metrobank Group of Companies Chairman Dr. George Ty, Doña Victoria Ty-Tan.

Popular for their nursing college, Manila Tytana Colleges currently has other two colleges namely the College of Arts and Sciences and College of Accountancy and Management. Interested college students can choose from the degree programs offered in these college units, including Psychology, Information Technology, Communication, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Entrepreneurship, and Holistic Nutrition with Culinary Arts. The institution also has a Senior High School (SHS) program covering Academic and Technical-Vocational Livelihood (TVL) tracks.

Manila Tytana Colleges has been consistent in maintaining a good passing rate in the Nursing Licensure Exam. The nursing program of MTC has a Level II accreditation status by the Philippine Accrediting Association of School, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU). Additionally, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has given the school a full Deregulated Status in 2003.

Manila Tytana Colleges facts:
