Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering focuses on the construction, operation, and maintenance of cargo fishing boats, cruise ships, cargo ships, battleships, submarines, and other marine vessels. It gives students the knowledge and skills needed to operate and maintain the different types of machinery inside a marine vessel.

A graduate of this program is required to have a work experience aboard an actual ship in order to be allowed to take the licensure examinations by the Board for Marine Deck and Marine Engine Officers, supervised by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
