Saint Columban College (SCC) is a private Catholic academic institution in the
City of Pagadian, Zamboanga del Sur. It was established in 1957 as the
Saint Columban School (SCS) by members of the
Missionary Society of St. Columban (MSSC) and the
Sisters of Saint Paul de Chartres (SPC). Initially offering high school programs, SCS opened for college enrollment in 1963. Two years later, the basic education department was also opened. The school earned its college status in 1967 and was then renamed to Saint Columban College. In 1978, the administration was turned over to the
Roman Catholic Diocese of Pagadian, and they have been running SCC since then.
Saint Columban College is a K-12 accredited institution. Its Senior High Shcool department provides the
Academic, Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL), Arts and Design, and
Sports tracks. On the other hand, college students can avail of programs in the areas of
Business, Teacher Education, Social Sciences, Computer Science, and Law. SCC also has graduate programs available for those who want to pursue further studies after earning their bachelor's degree. The curriculum alignment of Saint Columban College differs from every department; Their SHS curriculum is aligned with
Heart and Mind Formation while their college is with the
Character and Intellectual Formation.
