Saint Michael’s College of Laguna (SMCL) is a private school in
Biñan, Laguna. It was established in 1976 as the Biñan College through the efforts of the
Limaco family. The Limaco sisters founded the
Miguelunda Educational Corporation, which managed the college. Biñan College initially provided Commerce, Junior Secretarial, and General Clerical courses. Later on, the school opened more degree courses both in the undergraduate and the graduate levels. In 1983, the college was renamed to Saint Michael’s College of Laguna.
Currently, SMCL provides a comprehensive education program ranging from basic to tertiary education. Its Senior High School (SHS) department has the Academic Track available, with curricula for the
STEM, ABM, and
HUMSS strands. Aspiring students who want to pursue their undergraduate degree in the institution can look up to their five institutes that offer courses relating to
Business, Education, Liberal Arts, Nursing, Computer Studies, and
Hospitality Management. The school is also a
TESDA Accredited Assessment Center, with available courses in Bread and Pastry Production, Housekeeping, and Food and Beverage Services.
