Sorsogon State University - Castilla (SSU - Castilla) is a public satellite campus located at the municipality of
Castilla, Sorsogon. The campus started out as an agricultural school known as the Sorsogon National Agricultural School before it was integrated into the
Sorsogon State University by the virtue of
Republic Act 7666. This enactment led to the creation of a province-wide university system with three campuses specializing in different programs offering, which in this case, the Castilla campus became the primary
agricultural school among the three.
The Castilla campus provides a couple of undergraduate programs which mainly focus on Agriculture. With this, a bachelor's degree in
Agriculture (with majors in
Agricultural Education,
Animal Science, and
Crop Science) is offered along with
BS in Agricultural Technology.
