Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), formerly known as Tarlac College of Agriculture (TCA), is a public tertiary educational institution in the province of Tarlac, Central Luzon. The university was founded in 1944 and was initially known as Camiling Boys/Girls High School. In 1974, by the virtue of PD 609 issued by President Ferdinand E. Marcos, the institution was created as a state college and became known as Tarlac College of Agriculture (TCA). On May 10, 2016, TCA was finally converted to Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) by President Benigno S. Aquino III through the Republic Act No. 10800.

At present, TAU offers undergraduate and graduate programs across its different departments such as the College of Agriculture and Forestry, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and Management, College of Education, College of Engineering and Technology, and the College of Veterinary Medicine.TAU also has a Laboratory School which houses its Junior High School and Senior High School programs. For Junior High School, TAU offers the Science and Technology Curriculum and Agriculture-Homemaking Curriculum. For Senior High School, TAU offers academic tracks such as ABM, HUMMS, and STEM, and Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) Track on Agriculture and Home Economics.

TAU takes pride in its excellent academic performance. In 2016, the Agriculture Education of the College of Agriculture and Forestry was designated as a Center of Development while the Teacher Education programs of the College of Education was designated as a Center of Excellence, as certified by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
