University of Mindanao Peñaplata College (UM Peñaplata College) is a private, non-sectarian school in the
Island Garden City of Samal, Davao del Norte. It was established in 1950 and is part of the
University of Mindanao System. The campus was established together with the campus in
Tagum, and was formerly known as the
University of Mindanao Peñaplata Junior College until it was renamed to its present name in 1999.
At present, UM Peñaplata College offers CHED-recognized bachelor's degree programs in
Business Administration, Elementary Education, and Secondary Education and TESDA-recognized Program in
Hotel and Restaurant Services. It also has a Senior High School (SHS) program with selected strands from the
Academic and the
Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) tracks.
