School Overview

Want to update information about this school? Click here.
Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) was founded in 1973 by former Education Secretary Onofre Corpuz and former Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) Chairman Leonides Virata. It is comprised of four program centers, namely the Productivity and Development Center, the Center for Governance, and the Center for Organizational Development, and Regional Operations (based in Davao). The mentioned centers operate to strengthen the capabilities and widen the capacity of public organizations by providing education on policy-making, research, communication, service, productivity, and other related matters.

DAP offers courses in governance, publication, leadership, management, organizational-based knowledge, performance efficiency, and many more. The pieces of training are being conducted on specific time periods only, and, sometimes, with limited slots per agency. It also offers graduate studies through Graduate School of Public and Development Management (GSPDM) with the following courses: Executive Doctorate in Education Leadership, Master in Public Management, Master in Public and Quality Management, and Municipal Leadership and Governance Program.
